We are privileged to once again welcome back a former son of our congregation, Rev. Dr. Michael Berg. He currently serves as the Associate Professor of Theology at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He will be presenting on the topic of Theological Formation. While it might sound like a ‘weighty’ topic only meant for other theologians, Dr. Berg explains: “We are always being formed one way or the other. The media we consume, the food we eat, the symbols we encounter, all either form or malform us. Christ also forms us. Prayer, worship, the church year, and many other things form us to the pattern of Christ. In a word we are made “cruciform.”  In this presentation we will look at ways to experience Christ’s formation of us as we do spiritual battle with those forces that malform us.”
